Ebay gives you the first picture in your listing for free.  All other pictures stored on eBay's site cost you more money.  If you have your own site, you can store the pictures on your site and reference that URL (Universal Resource Locator = internet address) in your listing.  When someone views your listing, the picture will show up where and how you place the URL just as if it were stored on the eBay site. 

eBay charges $0.15 for each additional picture in your listing.  That may not sound like much, but if you have 3 pictures in each listing and 50 listings a year (less than on per week) that comes to $22.50.  You just saved enough to pay for your website!  Worse yet, that only considers small eBay pictures.  Usually I put at least 2 high resolution pictures in my listing so buyers can see great detail of both the front and back of my items.  That saves lots of money and headaches in dealing with complaints because customers can see EXACTLY what they're getting.  eBay charges $0.75 for large pix.  Now you're paying $112.50 ANNUALLY for picture fees which you could have stored on your website for FREE!!

You can get huge 8 1/2" X 11" high resolution pictures in JPG format that take up less than 200KiloBytes.  That means you can store 5 huge pictures in one MegaByte.  Usually you can store more reasonable sized JPGs at 10-20 per MegaByte.   That would cost you up to $750 per year on eBay!!
